  1. And so I've got a wild hair up my backside virtually getting one of these Bergara HMRs, I've had the opportunity to put hands on both the HMR and the HMR Pro. Most everything is the same, salvage the Pro has a trigger upgrade, Cerakote, and stainless components (vs CMV)... the tag price for the pro is almost 600 simoleons more than the standard offer.

What exercise you folks recollect, are the differences worth information technology?

  2. I haven't handled to standard, the Pro activeness is slick as snot, very smoothen to operate. I practice non know what the differences are exactly, so cannot answer the question.
  3. Here are the differences between the Pro and the B-14; more than than just the trigger upgrade. Not sure why it isn't in the tabular array, just the barrel lengths may be unlike. For example, the B-fourteen HMR in six.5 Creedmoor is 22 inches whereas the HMR Pro is 24. Doesn't await similar the B-14 is available in 6.5 Cathay.

@Walkalong is correct about the action on the Pro. I went with the Pro (in six.v PRC) and am hoping to get it to the range for the start time tomorrow.

Edit: ... and if it shoots also as it feels, I may double down and sell some stuff to buy another in six Creedmoor.

  4. Tin I throw a squirrel in too? https://www.eurooptic.com/Seekins-Havak-Pro-Hunter-Rifles.aspx As much equally I respect Bergara this is what I'd buy, given the choice.
    Demi-human and Orcon like this.
  5. I'm enlightened what the differences are, the question is the juice worth the squeeze. Caliber and barrel length bated, is the price delta worth it? I've got a friend offering to sell me a Cooper in 7mm for the aforementioned cost every bit the Pro.
  6. Well, it was to me. I found the HMR Pro in 6.5 People's republic of china for $1,300 delivered (at present listed at $1,388 from the same source). Seemed like a good deal to me.

@Skylerbone, I like the Havak Bravo--it's in the running as a half-dozen Creedmoor. But I really dislike the spiral fluted barrel on the Pro Hunter.

All comes down to what you lot similar, want, and can beget. Don't think you lot can go wrong with the B-fourteen.

    Orcon and Skylerbone like this.
  7. ^^^Agreed, just playing devil's abet^^^
  8. @Legionnaire don't be shy, share the source.
  9. Just got this from Bergara

I choose the Premier action over the B14 activity, but not in the model you lot're considering. The Triggertech is a fantastic trigger.

  10. Working the activity on the Havak vs the Bergara Pro is similar riding a donkey vs a thoroughbred.

The Havok tin shoot very well, and I imagine it would be luck of the draw if one out shot the other (Dunno really), merely I could not live with the Havak action's action.

  11. Betwixt the HMR Standard and Pro, I personally would choose the Standard. This is based on the fact that the Cerakote and stainless wouldn't be worth whatsoever extra money for me, and I can practice my ain trigger work, whether cleaning up the stock ane or installing something else.
